As soon as Taryn & Dianne approached us with the brief of creating a website for their new business selling group trekking tours all around Nepal, we fell in love with the project.
Not only did we engage with and committed to the adventurous spirit that they wanted to reflect on the website, we also embraced the challenge of merging a high-performance booking system and customised modules to suit the client’s needs along with a beautiful innovative design.
From a design perspective, Taryn & Dianne loved our idea of using a video as the home page background. Himalayas are just amazing and a picture is never enough, so we used a video that Taryn had had done by a video professional they met at Everest Base Camp.
Experience Earth also provided us with incredible pictures of their own journey to the Everest Base Camp, maps showing trekking routes and so much inspiring content to share with their new potential clients.
The website was built in Silverstripe and we built a customised booking system, all hand coded by our developers to link up with an online payment system. As requested, the system had to cater for groups and contain all the travel info, itinerary, dates and spaces available - updated in real time.
Once the site was live we received this letter from Taryn & Dianne:
